Answers to the most common questions.
Does PhoneTrackr tell me where the caller is?
No. The app shows the region, carrier and line type assigned to the number in Mexico's numbering plan. It is not anyone's real-time location.
Why is the carrier shown wrong?
If the number was ported to another carrier, PhoneTrackr may show the original carrier the number was assigned to.
A number isn't found. What can I do?
For now, only 10-digit Mexican numbers are supported. You can type or paste them with +52 or 044; the app recognizes them. If the number is correct and still isn't found, it may be a new range: write to us and we'll look into it.
Does it work offline?
Yes, lookups work without a connection. The map does need internet to load.
How do I remove the ads?
On the Search screen, tap the “Remove the ads” card. It's a one-time payment, with no subscription, processed by your phone's app store.
I changed phones or reinstalled the app and the ads came back
On Android, the purchase is restored automatically when you open the app with the same Google account. On iPhone, tap the “Remove the ads” card and then “Restore purchase”, using the same Apple ID you paid with.
How do I delete my history?
In the History tab, swipe a search to the left to delete it, or tap “Clear all”. Your history only exists on your phone.
Do I need to give access to my contacts?
No. It's only used if you pick a number from your contacts, and the app reads only the number you choose. More details in the privacy policy.
How do I request a refund?
Payments are processed by Apple and Google, so refunds are requested from them: on iPhone at reportaproblem.apple.com, and on Android from your Google Play order history.
